The book, Stargirl, sends a message that everyone can be themselves because everyone is different.
It all starts out when a new girl, known as Stargirl, comes to Mica High School where everyone is the same and acts the same. The problem is the new girl Stargirl, is different from everyone. She wears weird cloths, carries a rat named Cinnamon around, and sings happy birthday to everyone on their birthday. WEIRD! Once Stargirl is made into a cheerleader and cheers at the Mica High School championship game everything goes wrong. Stargirl begin to cheer for the other team when they score! When the Mica High School Electrons loose their championship basketball game everyone decides to blame it all on Stargirl and ignore her. Afterward Stargirl finds a boyfriend named Leo, Leo notices that since he is now dating Stargirl everyone ignores him too! Leo doesn’t know how he likes the ides of not getting the attention from everyone but Stargirl. When Stargirl tries to be “normal” it unfortunately doesn’t work and she is still ignored. So whose attention will Leo want more, Stargirl’ s or his whole high school? Before Leo can even decide, Stargirl unexpectedly moves away. Will Leo ever see Stargirl again?  Read the next book Love, Stargirl to find out.

I  recommend this book for girls and even boys, due to the fact that this book sends a great message, kept my interest, and was always making images in my head. I urge you to read this book!

Spinelli, Jerry. MANIAC MCGEE

11-year-old Jeffrey Magee was a courageous young man.  When his parents die in a trolley accident, his life is turned over to his guardians who don’t share anything-including him.  While running away, Jeffrey aches for a loving home
When finding a girl named Amanda, he sits himself in her home.  Jeffrey stays there until he can’t take it any more.  He then goes around to many other houses to see what’s best for him.  On the way, Jeffrey conquers amazing things that make him famous-outruns an undefeated little league pitcher with a frog bunt, saves a boy from the most dangerous backyard in town.  Jeffrey then figures that in Amanda’s house he is truly loved, and decides to go back.
I really enjoyed this book because it triggered my attention.  Also, the story is based when blacks and whites were separated.  Jeffrey (known as “Maniac”, because of the amazing thing he did) doesn’t care if people are black or white, and I like that about him.  Maniac Magee was a really flowing story, and I think Jerry Spinelli did a great job.  I recommend this book to anyone who likes to read.

One of the best book I’ve ever read is a Candy Apple book, Miss Popularity. Its about a popular girl in Texas. She has to move to Maine and leave all her friends in order to go to a private school where it is so different and dull. She has a hard time making friends and fitting in. Can it all work out for Casey or will she she be unpopular forever? You find out for yourself. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. I loved how Casey is so creative and fashionable. I would recommend it just to girls. I hope you will read this book and like it just as much as I did.

This book is not quite a sequel to Holes but involves some of the same characters like X-Ray and Armpit. He is trying to improve his life and trying to lose his nickname.  He has a friend, named Ginny. Life is starting to look good when his old Camp Greenlake friend X-Ray comes with a scheme is supposed to double Armpit’s money. Things start to fall out of place again but there are multiple surprises on Armpit’s way improving his life.

I enjoyed this book because it was exciting and had odd twists and turns you’d never expect. It was a great book and you are missing out if you don’t read it.

I loved this book. It is about a girl who is called the “hard one” in her family. At school and at home she’s always getting into trouble. You will like this book, too, because Clementine does get into trouble and she calls her brother fruit and vegetable names. Editor’s Note: If you like June B. Jones books and are ready to read something a little harder, this would be a good choice.

One of the best books is on the 2009 High Tea List. Rules is about a girl named Catherine and her brother, David, who has autism. Catherine goes to a clinic with David when he has occupational therapy. She has trouble with people with and without disabilities. I liked this book and I know you will, too! One thing I like is that the book teachers that it doesn’t matter if you have a disability. Everyone can still be friends.

The book Rules is an excellent book, one of my favorites actually. The book is about a girl named Catharine who has a brother, David. Because David has autism Catherine has to go with David to his occupational therapy sessions. Sometimes Catherine has trouble with people with disabilities. I think the book was very interesting Its funny at times and sad at times, so I liked that the book was long. So that’s why you should take my advice and READ THIS AWESOME BOOK.

This book is a L.O.L[ laugh out loud] book for the whole family.

I loved this book DEFIANCE because there is a cow named Blossom that is very sweet. There’s a old lady that used to be a poet and a young boy who has cancer and fights the cancer and survives the cancer at the end of the book. This book means love, life and death. You will have to read to find out the rest.  These are the reasons I loved this book.
